This is a mini post about how having a great prop at a PR shoot really can help get your story in to the local print press. In this case the story was about Music Theatre 4 Youth’s next production, Little Shop Of Horrors.
The performance is part of this years festival at Queens and is sponsored by Pinsent Masons and Goldblatt McGuigan along with the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
The plant (named Audrey) in the movie version of the show was the first thing i seen as i walked up the stairs of the shoot location. Perfect. I knew this would be a brilliant shoot with a high chance that the story would be picked up by local press.
Instead of having to rely on a pop up banner or iPad we used Audrey to her full potential by placing some of the Music Theatre 4 Youth students both underneath and partially in the massive plant, which was constructed by The Beat initiative.
